A Joyful Couple Photo Session in Alberobello: Exploring the Trulli with Isora & Bob"
What started as a simple couple photoshoot in Ostuni quickly turned into something much more special. As our time together unfolded, Isora & Bob, two young, vibrant DJs were having such a great time they surprised me with a spontaneous request: “Can we keep going?”

They wanted to explore more, and more importantly, to create more memories. Isora, despite being born in Puglia, had never visited Alberobello, the iconic town of trulli. I was more than happy to make it happen, so we jumped in my car and set off on this unexpected adventure.
Arriving in Alberobello was like stepping into a fairy tale. The joy on their faces was contagious from the moment they saw the first “Trullo” to their wide-eyed amazement walking through the historic center. Between shared laughs, playful teasing, and carefree energy, their connection grew even more vivid.
We took a quick break with an espresso and devoured gelato on the steps of a quiet corner—just two young souls in love, surrounded by one of Italy’s most enchanting landscapes. Then came a long, wandering walk through Alberobello’s charming alleys, where tradition, architecture, and magic meet.
Thanks to their natural chemistry and lighthearted spirit, I was able to capture some of the most personal and authentic images of the day. Their personalities truly came to life in front of my lens, and it felt like photographing joy itself.
Behind the Lens: A Photographer’s Perspective
From the very beginning, I felt completely at ease with Isora & Bob. Between shared laughter, playful jokes, and spontaneous photos, it was clear we were enjoying the moment together not just as photographer and clients, but as friends! They welcomed me into their world, and I never felt like just an external observer. For a few hours, I was part of their couple, part of their joy, their rhythm, their energy.
This is what I strive for with every couple I work with: to become more than just a photographer. I want to be a friend, someone they can trust not only to capture their essence, but also to help them feel at home, whether that means offering simple advice on where to find the best food in Puglia, or sharing hidden spots perfect for photos or a quiet moment together.
Being present, being human, and allowing space for connection, that’s the foundation of my work. And it’s what turns a photo session into something truly meaningful.
A Small but Sweet Memory
One of the things I’ll never forget from that day came after the shoot. True to his British roots, Bob didn’t stop enjoying every single bite and moment. After our time in Alberobello, I brought them to one of my favorite pizzerias in Lecce 400 Gradi, a local gem known worldwide and ranked among the top 20 for excellence in pizza.
Watching Bob light up with joy as he discovered pasticciotto (our delicious traditional custard filled pastry), devoured slices of pizza and focaccia barese (from Panificio l’Assunta), and soaked in the flavors of this ancient land, it was pure pleasure. His happiness became mine, and seeing both of them embrace the soul of Puglia with such curiosity and enthusiasm reminded me why I love doing what I do.
These moments go beyond photography. They are about sharing, connecting, and celebrating the beauty of life one laugh, one photo, and yes, one bite at a time.
